Website for DSL and Cable availability?

I'm curious to find out all of my possible options for high speed internet in the area, and googling such sites seems to give me a bunch of skewed places that are pretty much incomplete wastes of time.

Is there a particular high-speed internet search site that anyone uses here?

Usually you can just go to your cable company's and your telephone company's respective websites. They should have a lookup function to check availability for you.
