Website Documentation, where to start?

Hey guys, Im about to create a new website that has the potential to be a high volume traffic site.

Now, it seems more professional to create a Documentation, but I have no idea what to put into. Where do you start? What goes inside a Documentation?

I goggled but didn't come up with any relevant information.
 
Start with design. What is the end product you want to create? Then work your way into the actual requirements of getting the output and document any special methods used. Most of the actual documentation will be in the code I would think.
