Are there any alternatives out there to WebSense that are as good or nearly as good as it? The one year 75 user license is around $2,500/year. I've used squid w/ squidguard/dansguardian in the past but it definitely wasn't as good as filtering as websense.

Websense is the best-of-breed. I have found that pretty much every other filtering application/appliance, you are sacrificing features that Websense has. I also have found that the improved productivity and reduced loss of bandwidth more than pay for the yearly subscription.

For the price, Squid/DansGuardian is a decent solution, but Websense is still the recommended product to all of my customers.

we use an iprism and have found it integrates well with our terminal server environment.
I believe the pricing is similar to websense though.

SurfControl is pretty good. They have software or applications. It's cheaper than WebSense in the long run.

Check out IronPort. I didn't know much about them until Cisco bought them, but their web filtering solution is VERY nice.
