Webcam color issues

My friend has a Sony VAIO VPCEH14FM. I'm out of ideas on how to fix the issue. Basically her camera color is wrong. It looks like:

We installed the software Sony has on their site and tried different versions of Skype, and I forgot what else. Anyone know whats going on?

Looks like someone turned on a camera effect to make it look like a drawing. Is she sure she doesn't have any custom camera effects enabled in whatever software Sony gives out with it?

Yeah, we checked that. It didn't come with any software, we installed the software on their site in a hope of fixing it. All the settings are on default

Opening the laptop is the last resort, rather not void any warranties. I'll have her try a live linux CD

Sorry for the late update, we were busy but I booted a a live linux CD and its the exact same so it is indeed a hardware issue. Thanks for the help
