You know those brown concrete buildings at cable office head ends and under cell phone towers a such? I'd like to look into one of those for the company I'm with. Our server room is currently situated under a large oak tree. It's certainly not an ideal location. Anyone have a link to these buildings? I searched on Google for a bit but came out empty handed. I'm not needing anything very large. A 20x10ft building would be plenty.

If your that worried, why not look for a co-lo to host your equipment in, like Iron Mountain, or the others.

They are usually called communication shelters. Many are pre-fab, they pull up with the shelter on a flat-bed, you lift it off with a crane and set it on a concrete pad.

Most places will build to spec and put power, ac, racks and cable management in place. My company just got one for a market we are overbuilding, saved us a ton of money compared to how we were doing it, which was to find a building, build a room, bring in electricians to put electric in, DC power guys to do DC power, ironwork done, HVAC guys...etc. With a communication shelter you order it, the company makes the shelter to spec, puts the stuff in and ships it out, you just use a crane to pick it up and set it down. Bring an electrician in to connect the power and you're ready to start racking the equipment.

Google search for "communications shelters", should bring up quite a few different companies.
