Stability testing with prime95 overnight has kinda been the "norm" the way I see it for quite long. But lately, especially on amd64 I've seen prime95 successfully run 16 hours, and a compile overnight fail instantly. Was talking to a friend of mine and he said the same thing, he had 2x primes running on dual core (affinity set up right) running overnight, no problems, xvid encode failed after about 3 minutes.
Anyone know any stress testers optimized for amd64? (and maybe even smp capable, althrough running more than one seems to work fairly well
