Is anyone familliar with WDS here? I've been trying to mount a .wim file using imagex. I keep getting this error.

[ERROR] e:\blah\blah.exe <Error =1812?

Error mounting image.

The specified image file did not contain a resource section.
 
Did /export work? If it does not you are screwed. This is usually a result of a bad capture, generally caused by the source hard drive being corrupted. You are going to need recapture the wim. I would suggest running a chkdsk on it before. If the wim is still unmountable, see if you can exclude / delete the problem file and then capturing.
 
yeah , that step wasn't included in the procedure i had googled. But someone mentioned it in the comments. All is working, i love that windows has built in imaging.
 
Anyway that when i capture an image it appears as installed. Its listed in image selection, but when I goto installed images on the wds server its not listed. When I install it, its now listed twice when i need to chose an image.
