I don't know if there already was a thread on this, I'm sorry if there was but I can't seem to find one.

Has WD or a third party come out with x64 drivers for the WD800JD yet? Without them, I can't use data lifeguard or access the temp sensors for the drive. Any help here would be appreciated. Thanks.

That would be handled by the chiset driver.Look on the Nvidia site for the 64 bit Forceware driver that matches your chipset.

Update your sig to include MOBO.
 
wow.... Ok, WD800JD is a Western Digital 80Gb SATA drive. Not and Nvidia card. And my mobo is in my sig... ASRock 939 Daul-SATA2
 
Drivers for a HD? This is a first for me.... other then maybe an overlay driver to get around the old BIOS limitations. As mentioned above, you shouldn't need anything special to get the temp sensor data (provided it has one) other then hooking it up and installing the chipset drivers (and some monitoring program to see the sensor data).
 
I don't know. I would assume it would need the driver to see the sensor because on my x32 Windows, SpeedFan saw the sensor without a problem when I had teh drivers installed. When I upped to x64, I lost the temp sensor. I also lost the ability to install the drivers for it because they are made for x32.
 
Well, I downloaded and installed Data Lifeguard. Inside Data Lifegueard, there are options to copy data, instsall drives, etc. I am going to assume that installing the drive installs the drivers. It was after that that SpeedFan picked up the sensors in the drive.

You'll need to install the driver for the sata controller, not the drive. The drive acts in a standardized way, and the difficulty is that the controller driver you're using may not have the potential to access all the drive's standard functionality (for example, SMART settings for SpeedFan) and thus it doesn't appear. Make sense?
