I found my WD7500AAKS a bit loud.

Is there any other hdd out there that is more silent and have the same performance ?

Samsung Spinpoint F1 750GB HD753LJ, I would say from personal experience that the performance on this drive is quite impressive and very loud. I use eight of them in my RAID setup and I can hardly hear them at night. :)

It's hard to find a comparison on the web for hard drives.
