Hot Hardware has put up a "quick" review of the new Western Digital Scorpio Blue 1TB drive - it's a 9.5mm high 2.5" wide standard "laptop" hard drive running at 5400 rpm. Even in spite of that seeming handicap (the lower RPM rating), it beats the 500GB Scorpio Black 7200 rpm drive in practically every benchmark save for random access time and it has a few issues with some smaller 16 - 32K transfer sizes.
I think I'll be considering one of these for my Dell Latitude D830 here sometime soon... still not ready to cough up the funds for an SSD, I'm just old school and a hard drive user myself.

Retails for $100 or so, and for the performance, it's definitely something to consider for tons of storage space as well.
