WD RED 3TB as 2 drives??

Im trying to format a WD red 3TB drive.

Fresh out of the static bag, when I pop it in I get 2 physical drives, one 2TB one and one with the remainder. (tried 3 different machines, same thing)

This is before formatting, so no, I cannot right click on it and convert to GPT.

I have 2 other WD RED 3TB drives that did not do this, same system.

What gives?

Well I plugged it in straight sata and the drive came up okay. I double checked another 3TB WD red and it was fine, and the new one still is not on 2 different USB docks. They are the exact same model, WD30EFRX. I wonder if they did something new/weird to the firmware.

I guess Im okay for now, still weird.
