Just picked one of these up and i have to say i'm in love with it. Ran HDTach on it, 7.5ms access time, 118.1MB/s burst, maximum 73.3MB/s read, minimum 41.8MB/s read, and an average read of 65.4MB/s. Got a damn good deal on it, 169 brand new. I can't notice the difference between this and the 2 cheetah 15k 36gb drives i have in raid 0 on a lsilogic 320-2 with 128mb cache. buy one of these if you can, well worth the price.

I can't really compare them. The cheetah's are in my office where the white noise is just brutal. When I did have them at home, I'd have to say they are both very noticable, but the raptor is more quite, but the difference has to be extremely minimal.
