I have a problem that has happend with a wd2500jb and wd2000jb. Drives were on an Abit AV8 board running Win 2k SP4. Both formatted full capacity no problem. Had wiped the drives, put them in a external USB case, connected to same system, only seen as 137gb when I tried to format. Took them out of the case, back on motherboard controller and still can only format to 137gb. Even on other systems, same thing. Did exact same thing with Maxtor 200GB and had no issue. Tried WD diag and it reports both drives as 137gb. Any ideas on this?

Thanks

Ah, the 137 GB problem. :D

Search for "137 GB" and it'll come right up.
