I have an existing system with Asus A8N32-SLI motherboard
and a 75 GB raptor.
So I decide to upgrade to a 150GB raptor.
I used Acronis to clone the 75GB raptor to the 150GB drive.
Then I Installed the 150 GB as the only hard drive.
The system wouldn't boot. I just got a flashing line on the upper left hand
corner of the screen. So I'm thinking the system must not recognize the
150 GB as a boot drive.
After a while I decide to do a fresh install of WIndow XP with the 150GB Raptor. Everything
goes fine until I install service pack 2. Now I just barely get the boot screen and my
system resets.
I went back to the 75 GB raptor and everythings's OK.
So I know the procedure to install additional drivers on bootup with a floopy
but what drivers? I'm not using raid and there are no special drivers for 150GB
raptors that I'm aware of.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
