Hello guys
I am really impressed and amazed with wcing systems and their performance.
I would like to watercool my main rig which has an AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ currently not overclocked since temps were too high on air (running at 2.8ghz).
I'm planning on using my eVGA 7900GT and upgrading my video next year around the summer time and i would like to watercool my 7900GT as well. I dont wanna watercool my ram, hdds, or chipset either; just the cpu and gpu.

If you guys who are wcing gurus could help me pick out the specific hardware I would really appreciate it. I have a budget of about $370. i would also like to use that really thick tubing which i believe is 1/2" size. Also, i only need and can fit a single 120mm fan rad in my case.

Thanks alot and any info/comments are greatly appreciated and will be looked upon.

Edit: Also, If anyone could plz link the hardware to performance-pcs.com I would also appreciate it
Also, I am going to be purchasing this case and will be paying for the top blow hole (120mm fan) since i dont wanna
screw it up if i don't cut it properly. So that's where i plan to mount the rad.

If you are going to try for a single 120mm radiator the only way to go in my opinion is a PA120.3 with a nice fan like a Panaflo H1A or U1A attached to a fan controller to keep the noise down at idle.

As for blocks I have always liked Danger Den with a TDX on the CPU and a Maze 5 on the GPU (dont forget the AS5). You will have to order ram sinks for for graphics card memory or just go with a full coverage block from EK. If you do go for the Maze 5 option make sure you pick up some artic silver epoxy stuff b/c those ram sinks do not like to stay on (this stuff is permanent though)

As for pumps I like the DDC pumps that run a modified top for the 1/2" tubing but a D5 pump is really nice and possibly even cheaper than a modified DDC.

Tubing I vote for some Tygon 3603 with 1/2" ID and 5/8" OD. If you are looking to save some costs on tubing I would run MasterKleer (SP?) 7/16" and heat the ends in boiling water and then force them on the fittings.

Pipe Clamps are best made from Zip Ties in my opinion.

Lets see, what am I missing, oh the fluid. Alot of people like distilled water with some pentosin (antifreeze) and some biocide. Stuff works great, I run it as well. However, for your first system I would try some Fluid XP+ its non-conductive so if you spill it or get a leak no big deal.

The great debate between reservoirs and t-lines, I like runing both using the modified micro res from swiftech avalible I belive from performance-pcs.

Lastly, read around the forums, research like crazy and make a list of parts you think might work. Then find all of the pros and cons of each item and continue to research. It will take a lot of work but belive me, it will be worth it when the parts arrive.

Good Luck

Yeah...

A PA160 if you can fit it... If not, the PA120 is needed, as falcon pointed out.

mmmm PA160 goodness. Just realized I have no idea what case is going to be used for this.

I'm confused, only a single 120 for a 120.3? He said a single 120mm fan radiator, I thought that was just one radiator able to hold one fan?

I think gyr made a typo... I don't think he meant to say PA120.3 but rather PA120.1 or a PA160 :)

*EDIT* whoops so did I.
