WC Loop question

My current loop is just the cpu i have one PA120.3 and a PA120.2 if i added two water cooled versions of the gtx 280 in SLI would the radiators be enough without the temps skyrocketing? Or would I need to run a separate loop keep in mind im only planning on cooling the cpu and gpu's. If I need to run a seperate loop i might just get the Air cooled versions.
 
Well you wouldnt exactly "need" to run a second loop. But its gernerally done to separte heat and offer better temps for the cpu. If keeping it all on a single loop is your final choice be sure to have a powerful pump to keep a strong flow throughout. I'd personally split it into 2 loops, but thats my opinion :).
 
Well do you think if i ran it Pa120.2>Res>Pump>CPU>PA.120.3>Gpu1>GPU2>Repeat

that I might get pretty decent temps with overclocking? My processor is 45nm.
 
Ive decided to go with two loops should i use the triple rad for the gpu's and the dual for the cpu?
 
That seems like it would be best. Espeically considering that the 45nm chips don't get nearly as hot as the old ones, which were still cooler than the GPU's.
 
if your doing over 1.5v on a quad
use the triple for the cpu
and the double for the cards..

if your doing under 1.4v , then reverse that..
 
PS: I think its crazy that you currently have 5x 120mm radiator cooling for your CPU. I bet that thing runs at ambient even at load. :p
 
Well I forgot to mention i'm going to WC GPU's in SLI as well. One last question do you think the PA120.3 will fit? Also in the event it does not will a dual rad be enough to cool SLI GTX 280's?

There's probably enough space in a MozartTX for a PA120.3 to fit vertically, but if you're talking about cards the size of the GTX280 (I'm assuming they're as long as the 8800GTX boards are), there won't be enough room for a PA120.3 to fit without a fan, let alone with a fan.

Here's a photo of my MozartTX:


The top video card is one of my 8800GTX boards, and there's only about a half inch between the end of the board and the fan mounted on the front panel.

The MozartTX could really have used another inch or two of depth.
 
Geez i see what you mean I dunno I might consider getting a MM UFO case after this there doesn't seem to be much reason to get this thing.
 
The other thing with the Mozart TX is that the fan mounting points are all right next to each other, the holes on the PA120.2 and PA120.3 are much farther apart than the ones on the Mozart.

Something like a MM UFO case would be a better choice if you are looking to keep everything internal.
 
Yea you convinced me the Mozart isn't worth the energy i think im going to get a MM U2-UFO Duality atleast I know things will fit in that.
 
I know you already decided, but the 120.3 will not fit without modifications to the drive bays because I tried an MCR360 and there wasn't near enough room. However, I am currently fitting a 480mm radiator in the back. Let you know once I get it all back together.
 
Yea I see what you mean its a drag cause its a nice case but its just not big enough. U2-UFO Duality FTW!!!
