I just received my first WC custom kit. Thanks to Xilikon for the parts list! Still no word on that Fuzion though, no stock anywhere including D-Tek themselves.
Will have to get the next best thing in the Swifitech Apogee GTX.

Now, my question for when I finally start this project, where would be the best place to put things for the following case?
http://www.xoxide.com/aspire-x-plorer-case-black-black.html
I'm thinking the pump could go towards the front, underneath the harddrive cage.
So what about the res?

Also, will I still need my intake fan(s) on the side of the case or will the top exhaust be ok?

Not really, but I don't have the proper tools. I assume you mean for the hoses?

ive had one of those cases, it was one of the flimsiest pieces of crap ive ever had lol.

where are you thinking of mounting your radiator ?

Flimsy in what way?
I'd had it for at least a year without issues.

As for the rad, on the back I would imagine would be the best place.

Well, I got an email reply from Petrastech claiming to be getting stock tomorrow. D-Tek still has yet to reply back.

i dont know, ever since i spent that extra little bit of money on one of the smaller lian-li midtowers i realised how much quality i was missing out on. im one of those people constantly opening and closing my pc and it just felt flimsy and too easy to bend etc.

yeah you've got the best idea for placing all the parts... as for the fans it really depends what your room is like... mine is like the desert so i need all my fans but if you have a fairly cold room then i wouldnt worry about the side one unless you're doing hardcore overclocking and the stability is dependant on cooling..

The front door I can see it, but I have sorta snagged it as I walked past it & thought for sure it would break. But nope, not yet.

My room is in the basement & there's not a lot of insulation in the walls down here. I need a separate oil heater to keep it warm.
Where would be the best spot for the res? I am assuming near the pump?

i usually have my res hooked up so the water goes from the res to the pump, if its one of the little swiftech mcres things you can fix it to the side of the drive bays if you have room.
if its bigger than that then yeh id just have it next to the pump near the bottom front of the case.

That's really the smallest you're going to find, and you don't have space for a t-line in that case, so...

So....what are you trying to say?
That res was recommended for my needs by Xilikon as I am only wanting to cool my quad.

Ok, so I finally got all the parts needed other than the distilled water.
I will do a test run before actually putting it inside the case.

Now, a coolant question.
What is the best way to mix up a batch?
Would a 2litre pop bottle suffice to mix it?

what are you mixing up ?

i usually just get a gallon of distilled water and dump some hydrx in there then mix it up, simple.

if ur adding uv dye drops or something you can just drip some into the res when its running.

I have a bottle of UV reactive G11 antifreeze & a bottle of Petra's Tech's own PT_Nuke. I just need to grab a jug of distilled water.

Pour out about 5oz worth of the distilled water, dump the antifreeze in, and add 10 drops of PT nuke.

Also, PT nuke is really useful for getting rid of canker sores :p.

Did you buy a RadBox????

If so.....radiator>Res>Pump>Block(s)>Rad....

You'll need a couple of holes in the back of the case for the hose>Rad.

1 small bottle of Hydr-x makes one litre......2oz I think is the size of the Hydr-x bottle.

Arcygenical, I assume you mean dump it into the bottle of distilled water after dumping out 5oz of it?

magoo, I just got that box today.

nightwalker, since you had this case before, did you do any wire hiding with it? If so, what did you do?
