Ok well i tried to go for a mirror finish, sucked big time, i cant use clear coat on the chrome paint i have, so what are some easier methods of painting to get a decent finish (shiny somewhat mirrory) and is easy and doesnt require too much sanding

cuz i seriously fuked up and im sick of this crap

im not suppose to use clear coat on the paint i have (same brand too its just the type of paint i cant use clear coat on) and so i cant sand the color coat since it will crap up and lose its metalic effect so im suppose to put clear coat on and sand it for the mirror finish

but ya pleaase help!
 
i don't know if the bubbles are supposed to be there, but bubbles happen from applying to much at the same time. I did my mouse with the metalcast paint set. Do very thin coats and let each set for about 20 mins between coats.
 
Well, that’s defiantly not paint crackle; Do you have a picture of your primer coat? Its almost like you either put on a too heavy coat, or your surface had surface imperfections. Maybe it was a bad batch of paint, too.



In any case, that paint job is screwed; I would sand it all down to either good primer or metal and restart.
 
those are the worst case of fish eyes i have ever seen, fish eyes come from the there being oil or silicone contamination. usually you only get one or 2 little fisheyes in a paint job on a large surface, those are like the panel was dipped in oil before painting it. Did you wash the piece with hot soapy water before the primer was appiled to the piece and then dry it with a surface prep spray or laquer thinner before applying the paint?
 
well i sprayed it down with the hose

but ya me and my sister were feeling on it (but it was mostly on the top panel and the panel that turned out fine)
 
Wow, did you even clean or sand the metals surface? i've seen that before when I first started painting on plain plastic on my first case mod. A combo of not knowing what the fark im doing plus to much painted equaled the same kinda result.
 
yes ive sanded with 220, 320, primed, sanded, primed, sanded, colored, sanded, colored again then put clear coat and ya
 
Seems like there is too much thin liquid in that can, shake shake shake.

Yeah, after a second look, it could be something from the can, were you painting at a weird angle?
 
Dude, the same thing happened to me when I was painting the inside of my Lian Li and it's just incompatible paint vs. clear coat, I even used the same brand, Rustoleum, just different types of rustoleum and it did that, I had to sand it down for 2 days to get it all gone and then redo it and basically it happened 3 more times until I found a compatible paint/clear coat combo, isn't normally this hard I just had really bad luck.
 
ya the rustoleum is bright coat, and like i said in my first post the clear coat says on the can not to use it with the bright coat paint
