Ok on my old 2.4c setup i did avi's with ffdshow and zoomplayer or bs player. I did about 25-30% cpu usage. Now with my mobile 2500 doing 2.717ghz (215 bus) and dual channel ram, Its taking 75% cpu usage. Does this make sense since the only things i have turned on are auto post processing and idtc? I dont even have proccess whole image turned on. Im using 418 ffdshow filters.

CPU usage depends on what else is running. Check your process list to see what else is running, it could be anything

Im at 1-2% cpu usage before and after running the video. I tryed turning off post processing and now my load is only 5%. Wonder why the post processing liked the intel so much more then this amd. The amd is like 50% more horse power, it should be running at a lower cpu usage then the 2.4c.

It might have something to do with the special instructions the Intel has over the AMD (such as MMX etc). Can't say if that is it, but it seems right.

Winamp5.03 with ffdshow ranges from 3-8% of cpu usage on my AthlonXP2500+@3200+ with a gig of ram.
