Way to add one letter/ number to end of file names?

Bad title I know
Here is what I'm trying to do. I have a few thousand pictures that have duplicate names (not data) and I want to add the number two at the end of the file or something.
So file one would be: "chrome" while file two would be "chrome 2".

I know of no simple way to do this to thousands of files. I'm hoping some one else has a nice solution.

If you don't mind (2) (ie: chrome, chrome (2), chrome (3) ), you can select all of the files, select rename, and give it the name you want it to be (ie: chrome)
