I have a WaveMaster and the left side door (main door) seem to rattle/vibrate alot in response to constant HD use or DVD drive (NEC 3520A) use. I can push inward on the door and the sounds go away. Does anyone else have this problem with their WaveMaster?

How can I get rid of the sound? All screws are tight and the door is on correctly. Thanks.

If it's from drive vibration, you could try insulating them. A rubber/gel washer under the screw helps a bit if it's a big issue.

just kick it a few times. :p

you could try what i did...

thats cool... does it make the HDD run hotter?

Hotter, no, but there are other complications, especially if you move the case at all...think "battering ram".

that is cool. if only i had the patience to try it. hopefully i can find a quicker solution. thanks for the replies!

Try this Automatic Door :D

OK, it's not the easiest way but it's fun.Otherwise, just use some foam.

Hotter, no, ...
hotter yes, since your moving the drive out of the airflow path.

i guess if your that rough with you case. :p it turned out more secure then i thought it would. ive never had a problem moving the case.

of course you can always secure the drive on the other axis as well. be creative!

here are some vibration dampening products that also can cool the drive binister, just a few more options...
