Working on my first WC setup. Surprising how much work it is - seems like i'm constantly ordering parts. Here's where I am at:

Waiting for some compression fittings right now - just wanted to make sure this layout looks ok:

I bought the Bitspower 250 res.. There is a silver tube on one of the inlets on the bottom - what line do i want to connect to this?

Thanks!

You will need for the pump to come right after the reservoir. Other than that, I guess you're good.

May I ask if you painted the interior of the case, or did you get it like that?

Actually, I think the Pump should be behind the rad as well. The pump does create heat and this can have a very small influence on temps. Probably nothing that can be measured, but if you want to be anal about having the best temps possible, then have it pump into the rad, then to the blocks. But Idef1x is right, you HAVE to have the res supplying the pump. Be sure to have a T-Line in as well for draining. It's a total PITA not to have one. The T-Line has to be at the lowest point in the loop.

I have the same res, but smaller. The silver tube is there so that so if you have the return water coming to the res from above, the water does not just drop in and create air bubbles. Just make sure the tip of the silver tube is submerged into the water at all times. Also, DO NOT use any of those anti-corrosion additive like primochill utopia. I have used this, and it create a surface tension so bad that I always had this froth at the top of the res, It never went aways either. It stayed there for MONTHS. Even when I drained the system and used straight D-water. Just use a silver coil or PT Nuke.

I painted the case interior thanks to some of the painting tutorials on here. A lot of work and a few million brain cells later she looks pretty good.

Water cooling take a bit of thought and work, but you sure wont regret it. Your setup is looking good so far and with the tips you just got, you should be pretty happy with it.

Yeah, I would also like to see the finished result! :) The TJ07 is such a nice case, and your start looks very promising!

Just a followup i finally got everything mounted and fired up yesterday. Runs great - need to tweak some stuff and play with the overclocking now. Thanks to everyone with the help on the watercooling layout/diagram

Very sexy, although I always though that it was better to put the CPU 1st in the loop since it will create a lot more heat.

I'm not sure if you're serious but...

That GTX 580 will put out more heat than any CPU ever could. And loop order does not matter, as has been proven multiple times. The only thing necessary in terms of loop order is pump after reservoir. After that, it's just simplicity of routing tubes or aesthetic looks.

Also, very nice build. I would've ditched the dyed water, and gotten some LED's to light up the reservoir.

Thanks, I am going to put an LED in the res. Thought the liquid was kind of neat it goes with the color scheme and looks like blood. :)

Yea, figured that out last night when i'm like "DAMN, it won't post!". Slapped myself in the forehead and then figured it out.
