your friends suggestions on the kit plus vga block are good imo.

also imo, you don't need to watercool your mobo chipset. It won't be noticeably different than a decent cooler... like swiftech's nb cooler w/ or w/o fan...

btw, how come in the NB chart of the swiftech and i see the SLI - DR wont be compatible with the NB color but the SLI DR Expert does? isnt that the same board?
 
No, the expert has a wide layout for the two slots, so that wil fit.
 
The only real reason to WC the NB is to reduce the ungodly noise from small, 5000+ rpm fans. IF you have good case airflow, you can get away with a passive chipset HSF, like the blue Zalman.
 
oh i couldnt tell by looking @ the 2 boards.

but when u watercool dont u remove the rear fans coz u need it for the radiator? so there wont be any airflow?
