I'm thinking about doing another water cooled system. My last water cooled system was built probably 7 years ago, and alot has changed since then! The case i will be purchasing is a Corsair Obsidian 800D. If you have a minute, please let me know if i have a wrong part or mismatched items. Thanks for looking. I'm planning on cooling an Intel 775 quad core and a GTX470 in this loop.

Black Ice X-Flow Radiator - Will put in the top of case, should pretty much drop in correct?

XSPC Dual 5.25 Bay Res with Swiftech MCP655-B Pump - This pump will sit in the bay res (i believe)

Danger Den DD-GTX470 Full Card Cooling Block

Tygon 1/2" ID 5/8" OD Tubing - 6' should be enough

Koolance 1/2: ID 5/8" OD Compression Fittings

Bitspower G1/4" 45 Degree Adapters - Couple these to avoid unnecessary bends.

Is there anything i'm missing or am i choosing inferior parts?

Thanks for looking!

What fans do you plan on using? That rad has incredibly high FPI, thus it will require very high RPM (i.e. loud) fans to cool effectively. Plus, the X-Flow rads really don't cool that well since they are only single pass. Is there a particular reason you chose this rad?

Tygon R-3603 tubing utilizes plasticizer, which can make your water cloudy.

Make sure you do indeed get the Rev2 of that CPU block (which is the one you do have linked).

You'll probably want to get a biocide (PT Nuke/silver coil).

i think you should get a fill port it will be easier filling the loop and taking out bubbles

1. Everyone forgets the PT Nuke/silver killcoil.

2. The GT Stealth doesn't need ultra high-speed fans to start outperforming other radiators, especially in push/pull. They overtake other radiators starting in the 1500 RPM range, especially when paired with high static pressure fans like the Gentle Typhoons.

3. If you go with 1/2" ID tubing, I would recommend 3/4" OD. This reduces the chance of kinking and improves bend radius.

Just saw the recommendation for 3/4" tubing. I may go with that based on your recommendation.

Link broken for the radiator, but it looks like it's a swiftech radiator. It'll perform better than the GTS radiators with ~1000-1200 RPM fans, but above that the GTS will perform better in push/pull. In push only or pull only, that threshold is around 1500-1700 RPM.

I strongly recommend you don't use dye. It tends to break down and clog up your blocks. It also can stain tubing and other parts. Also, no "special" liquids will cool any better than plain old distilled water.

Definitely use distilled water with PT Nuke or a silver killcoil. With that tubing, might I suggest adding UV Cold Cathode tubes?

The GTS is a very thin radiator, you'll have plenty of room for a push/pull setup on a 800D. And probably shrouding on one side, if not both.

Ok, i have distilled water already, so that's easy (run it in my race car :) ). I'll plan on a push/pull setup, and PT Nuke it is.

edit: Oh ya, definitely going with UV cold cathodes.
