Watercooling setup not Pumping?

Hey all, I just set up my watercooling a few minutes ago.. spent hours on it.

I've checked 30 times.. I have it connected as follows: pump up to the radiator ---> cpu block ---> resivour ---> down back to pump.

Here's my setup:

Hydor L30
Whitewater Block
Dtek Pro Radiator
Round resivour.. ( i think both fittings are at the same level, does it matter?)

I don't know whats wrong.. i know the pump is working because i can hear it and feel it, but nothings coming out of the top.. could it be i have to fill it a specific way?
 
What kind of pump do you have?
You did fill your setup with water?
Is water reachin the pump?
Did you put on your pump without water?

my pump is a hydor L30

Does it have an airlock feature? if so, where is it?
 
i dunno... most small pumps dont thow... with my eheim i have to cycle it on and off till the air leaks out... (some blowing/sucking on the tube at the fill point helps) try tilting the pump so that the *out* is up so the air can rise

I've tried different ways like 20 times.. i still dont know what im doing wrong.. and now i have a huge headache from all of it

i fill the resivior with water before i turn on the pump.. then i turn it on and nothing seems to come out of the top.. but i see water going to the bottom side of it
 
I am curious here, because I am having a similiar problem with a danner mag drive.

Maybe you could try unhooking the resevoir you are using and using something larger for the time being. This way you have access to the intake and return lines. Try sucking air through the return line of the pump to see if you can assist it in starting.
 
You need to make sure you prime the pump, its not going to be able to pull water from your resovoir unless its high up and drains down into your radiator where your pump is connected to. Youll need to get that input line filled with water to start a syphon and then the system will bleed itself of air with some help from you.
