hey, i've never attempted watercooling before, as I just started getting into the whole overclocking and modding thing recently.. but now i'm ready for a new challenge, and lower comp. temps! so as i was browsing the [H]ardForums, i noticed a Koolance Expos Black unit for sale... here is a direct copy from his post
"Koolance Exos Black unit. This is newer version with fill cap at top of unit. Blocks that comes with it are CPU-300G and GPU 180. Mounting kits for all processor (except xeon) and all chipsets are included. There also is Almost new fluid that can fill up system +. Tubing is not cut much so you should be able to reuse it right away and can get tubing easily at most hardware store. (1/4 ID 3/8 OD) This usually will sell close to $300 shipped in most cases. It is about 2 months old unit. I have all orginal box on this. I can not think of better way for brand new H2Oers or seasoned warriors who changes components frequently, or have small cases to do custom jobs. My price is $230 shipped."
i was hoping that someone would tell me if this is a good deal or even a good idea for a first-timer with watercooling... and would the blocks fit onto my rig? i believe that the CPU block would need an adapter, from what i've read, but the GPU unit should fit since it is compatible with a 9800.
My system specs are :
AMD 64 3500+ (socket 939)
x800xt p.e. (softmodded pro)
asus kt800 board (newest model)
Thanks for your time!!
