I admit I was a skeptic regarding watercooling. I took the plunge and purchased a used setup from a forum member here.
My main reason for buying it was for the case mod I'm working on. I finally got it installed and running on my current system.

I tested the setup, and last night I clocked my Q6600 to 433 x 9 = 3897mhz. I'm at 1.58v under load.
As hard as I tried, I never could get 4ghz. I didn't want to crank the voltage above 1.6, and I have cheap ass ddr2-800 ram.

The temps are showing 55-57c. Its been stable for 12 hours running folding@home, 100% loaded all cores.
For comparison, the CPU was running just under 70c using the Cooler master Hyper 212+. With the CPU clocked at 3.3

I initially had it at stock clocks, the temps were at like 28c!
I don't have any pics of the parts installed, because its all just sitting in a pile next to my case.

The parts consist of
danger den CXP
GT Stealth 240
Swiftech Apogee GTX with copper top

My 3.93Ghz q9550 is running 72C (Gaming load.) with the summer temps. (Attics rooms suck for OCing during the summer!)

I am trying to sell my old rig for the money to get a water cooling set up. I'm glad to see your 70C temps dropped to the 50's. I'm hoping for similar results. (Will be using the Feser One X-360 - Swiftech MCP655 - 1/2 tubing - 3 Sythe GT's for now.)

Yea water cooling is nice, although mine is getting too loud for me. I need to find some nice, powerful yet quiet fans to push through my Stealths.

You can. But the Stealths weren't built for low rpm fans. :( they blossom at 2000rpm and above.

Forgot about this thread.

I didn't realize that the stealths needed Higher RPM fans. I'm using 2 Enermax Cluster's that I picked up at Microcenter. They are running at 1100 RPM, and I can barely tell any air is going through the rad.
I bought those fan's for looks.

There is another option, I have a 166 cfm 200mm fan that's not being used, its here. Ninja edit, that fan has a static pressure of 2.82 mm H2O.
I'm going to consider building a shroud for the Rad and mounting this fan to it. My case just barely has enough width for it to fit.

It's not a big deal for my application, since I only have a Q6600, the temps are staying in a fairly comfortable zone for me.

You know you want San Aces :)

Put a shroud on them and they're basicaly silent up to 1600rpm.
