just curious as to what people like the best. Im looking for either UV red or UV green coolant. Whether its a dye or id have to mix it with distilled water. Ive heard mixed reviews about the FluidXP stuff. I planned on getting a setup from Petra and i saw he includes the PentosinG12 UV red coolant just wondering if anyone uses it and how well does it react to uv cathodes?

i like fluidxp but i no longer use it because 1) expensive 2) the residue it leaves on everything. if you spill it on, say, a motherboard, its a royal pain to get off even if it doesnt fry it like water would. i use plain old distilled water, 65 cents a gallon at walmart. i have black tygon lines so mold isnt a problem (no light), but i add a little 91% alcohol just incase. anti-freeze (the stuff for cars) works just as well, it also leaves a residue too, some people will say that it wont necessairily inhibit mold but ive never seen mold grow in it. you can buy antifreeze and anti-fungal additives, but i prefer to use what i got and its been working for me. i would just buy a bottle of whatever color you want and add it to distilled water.

Alcohol isn't necessarily the best thing to use in a WC loop. It can dry out rubber and eat certain plastics. I use Swiftech HydrX. $3 for a bottle that mixes with distilled water to make 1 liter of coolant. It's a pretty decent UV green as well.

If you're gonna use Pentosin, add a little PT Nuke as well. That'll make your system pretty bulletproof.

Fluid XP!! The best (and safest) coolant to use. I buy it by the gallon from their website.

PC ice gets my choice... for a non-conductive coolant.

Distilled water and UV Red dye (the newer stuff from jab-tech.com) is my major choice.

hahah, im still not sure if i want green or red!!! If i can pick a color i can easily pick a coolant.

but then i see FluidXP has like a bajillion different colors (not really, more like 4) so then i start going nuts

Most "reds" arn't "red" under UV... More orange or pink, so be careful ;)

Yellows are also green under UV.

QFT. Too bad they don't make UV PlayDoh so you can mix your color with it to see what it would look like. :p

However... I can verify that HydrX + UV = pretty damn green.
