Watercooling clean-up

I have had my first watercooling setup running now for a little over a year, without any real problems. However, the loop slowly went cloudy over the first six months or so. I am guessing this is down to not having put enough additive in during the build.

I have a DD TDX and chipset block, Thermochill PA-120.3 driven by an Aquaextreme 50z 12v DC pump. DD cylindrical reservoir

The cloudiness is a real concern to me as it implies that either something is corroding, or I have some other kind of build-up in the system, none of which can be good. I bought all the components used here on [H] and so cannot attest to how they may have been used before I had them. The system has not needed topping up in 6 months.

What is most likely to be the cause of the cloudiness?

If I break the system down how would you recommend cleaning things out? Fill the loop with vinegar and run it for 48 hours?

Any help appreciated.
Thanks!

Id say redo the loop, I think tubing just naturally gets cloudy overtime because mines fine for a few months now the thiner walled tubing is starting to cloud while the thicker is find.
