Long time since I was here at toms.

I just got the watercooling bug again :)

.........and now want to buy a xbox 360 and a Alphacool block.

Q: Anyone have advice how to install radiator incase I decide to keep the 360 original case?

Option 1:
Keep the original 360 case, in this method a used fat xbox is maybe "easier" because it might be more spacy?

Option 2: Drill some new holes in a PC case and then install the 360, this might be ugly unless I manage to modify the front ports to pc case ----> 360 ports good.

example of a watercooled 360:

You just need to drill some holes and get a radiator stand, so long as you don't mind a ghetto-mod look. The problem comes if you want things to look good.

I'm impressed that's a really nice build.

I'm mostlikely aswell put it all in a PC case, however not sure what to do of all the front plugs and PSU adapter, seems like I need to spend alot of time learning :D

I designed the Origin Big O for Origin awhile back. It was the first water-cooled Xbox Slim. We did no bother with the power button but instead just used the controller. I did not use the PSU adapter but instead connected the Xbox directly to the computer PSU (the system had a built-in 4-way SLI gaming rig as well).

I tried to watercool a fat xbox 360 and tried keep everything internal. It was very difficult since tiny radiator choices are very limited. I found a small radiator from a old vga watercooling kit, but even then I couldn't get it all inside. I ended up mounting against the right side (non hd side, xbox laying horizontal).

I thought about the black ice micro, but it seemed a bit thick (50mm) for an internal x360 setup.

I salvaged parts from this Cooler Master VGA kit. It comes with a small pump and radiator that could fit in a X360 if you got creative. Unfortunately it has a tiny res on the radiator that makes one side a bit thick.

I also thought about using parts from one of these old thermaltake vga cooling kits because of the blower fan style radiator. Unfortunately all of these old VGA cooling kits can be hard to find. I eventually found them on ebay for cheap (sub $40 each)
