Let's say, hypothetically, that someone wanted to know what the temperature was in the Res in his WC set up. I don't know why, maybe because he's got a Digital Doc 5+ and has run out of temperatures to monitor and doesn't feel like sticking probes on each of the videocard's RAM chips. Anyway... let's just assume he does for the sake of argument. What, if anything, would prevent him from drilling a hole into the top of the Res, cramming a temperature probe into it, then silicone sealing to hole to prevent leaks? If Mr. Hypothetical was going to try this would the flat probe be better than the ball probe?
If it makes a difference, Mr. Hypothetical over there is using distilled water, water wetter, and blue dye.
Just wondering...
