Water temp vs cpu temp, pulldown numbers

what's a good CPU waterblock & proper flow look like?

I'm running, under load, the water at 44.7c and the cpu at 64c

that's water temp right before it enters the cpu water block, I'm going to get another temp monitor for after the cpu someday

seems kinda bad to me, poor flow or poor cpu block (both I suspect)

what kinda numbers is everyone else getting, water vs cpu temp?

using an amd 64 X2 4600 at 12x222 for 2.66 ghz
 
Yeah dude, we need to know your WC parts to make a good judgement.

There's a HUGE difference between a ThermalTake kit and a custom DD setup.

Also, water temp that high seems to suggest your radiator isn't working properly OR your ambient temp is super high.

My water temp stays closer to 34'c.

Tri-Load (Orthos and RBTHDRBL) I get closer to 44-45'c, and on Idle I get anywhere from 23-30'c depending on my room temperature.

Definitely something goin on there. For kicks, what ARE your loop components.
 
so 10 degree pulldown is a good number to shoot for? my water block sucks, that's all there is to it, it's a thermaltake waterblock with an S flow though it

going to replace it with a swiftech apogee I think, seems to get good reviews

not sure on ambient temp, the motherboard runs 39c, the room stays warm (5x computers in here, kids/wife share office)
 
water temp idle 33.5 load 35
ambient 31.5
cpu 38 idle 45 load. @ 1.425v

this morning my idle was 35 cpu load 38 and my ambient was 27*C with water around 29-31

so it really depends on my ambient..
 
Yeah yesterday I woke up with a room temperature of 16'c. My CPU idle temp was 24 degrees lol!
 
ambient temp seems to be my problem

water was 28.8 this morning, with only my PC on the high temp is 48c


soon as the wife and kids get home, and fire up all the other computers, high temp will raise 10 degrees
 
is that thermaltake waterblock part of a thermaltake kit? Getting a better block will help but if the rest of your loop sucks you might not see as much improvement as you'd like.
