I was just looking at this over at FrozenCPU:

Its a Thermaltake water temperature probe. Looks like it is made out of stainless steel. Is there any problems with using stainless steel with a Koolance system that has an aluminum radiator? I remember reading something about not mixing different kinds of metals in a cooling system. I am also using Koolance waterblocks.

My plan is to not use the display, but to wire the probe to my case's LCD display.
 
That is a nickel plated brass fitting. A stainless fitting would be about the same price just for the fitting. Probably work just fine.
 
does that koolance use 1/4" tubing or a metric size? just want to make sure that it will hook up without problems.
 
It runs 1/4" and according to Thermaltakes site, it comes with a full range of connectors including 1/4"

I am hoping that connecting the wire to my case's wire for the temp probe returns meaningful temp readings. I have tried a different temp probe than the one that came with the case and it did read the same temps. So I am counting on this to work out.
