Water Pump noise

My EK water pump has recently started making these buzzing noises off and on. Never did this when I first set up the loop. This is my first water loop, is this a sign the pump is going bad? It's only 1-2 months old.

It's like a bzzzzzz, stop, bzzzzzzz, stop, bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, stop.................... bzzzzzzzzzz, bzzzzzzzzzzz, bzzzzzzz. Very random, sometimes short, sometimes long. There are no water bubbles that I can see so I have no idea what the pump is doing.

Only using distilled water + silver kill koil, nothing else.

the actual impeller sits on a single ceramic bearing. if you have ever run the pump dry or had any debris in the water, it could have worn the bearing enough to cause some movement, which would turn into vibration at high speeds.

alternatively- there could be some either mineral deposits or algea film buildup on the impeller causing it to be slightly off balance, and every once in a while it will randomly start to vibrate like you are saying.

just take the top off and clean it out. if it still happens, it could be a worn bearing.

Thanks for the reply, funny thing is I decided to reposition the pump so the inlet has an easier time, after repositioning the noise has stopped. Hopefully it stays this way. Thanks again.
