I just ordered a prescott 2.8ghz and i was wondering if someone wouldnt mind telling me where to get water cooling parts. I have NO CLUE about water cooling and was kinda wanting to stick it in this new machine. If someone wouldnt mind linking me to the parts i need and briefly explaining everything i would truly appreciate it.

Price range is about 100- 120 bux.

Danger Den and Dtek are two good places to start.
Basically you've got 3 main components, pump, radiator and waterblock, all connected in a loop with tubing. the water travels from the pump, to the radiator where fans remove heat from the water, to the waterblock where the water removes heat from the processor, back to the pump. thats basically how it works.

I know this might be rude to ask but would you or someone mind posting some good components? I can pick them out but i am not sure if the parts would work together or something else would be cheaper and better.

EDIT:

i noticed a water cooling kit at dangerden.com would it be a good idea just to customize that or would it be better to just to pick the parts out individually?

I'm looking to do the same, tho on a 2500+. Also fitting in a Lian-Li pc-60 if it matters.

how about something like this

MAZE4 Block - Includes Mounting Hardware, Socket 478 Lucite Top, None, 1/2 Fittings, Chrome Fittings, None, Standard, None

Hydor L20 Pump

Heater Core Radiator, 1/2 Fittings

comes to like 102 bux.

I would need 1/2 hoses and some clamps. My dad probably has some in the shed. :) Is this all i would need?

EDIT: Also a 120mm fan :).

these water cooling setups shouldnt have a problem running 24/7 should they?
