I'm still running socket 939, have an amd 64 3000+ @ 2.4Ghz

I wanted to buy one of the last x2's for the socket 939 or maybe an opteron ..don't know yet ...

but what I want to know actually is about this watercooling kit ...

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835118111

what do you think about it? is it worth it for my socket 939 ?

any other suggestions are appreciated... I'm looking for a kit to basically cool my cpu, since this is my first time with h2o ...

thanks !!

It's not bad for ambient, but as long as you dont mind low-speed fan noise you'd probably be better served by a swiftech kit. Just my opinion, petrastechshop.com has pretty sweet kits too.

Yeah, petras is the shit.

Fork over $150-200 on a fairly nice kit. Petra's stuff is all pieced together. If you buy those pre-packaged deals from companies they usually suck compared to what you get by buying a custom made one from petra's. My setup cost me $300 to cool my cpu.... and its well worth it as I can always switch out the block if i change sockets in the future.

that zalman kit is largly passive. Its not for performance, its for silence.

Build your own kit and be ready to perform some minor modifications to your case, if you really want performance.
