This is what I'm thinking:

Swiftech 6002 CPU water block
Silverprop Fusion HL GPU water block
12 g Arctic Silver 5 thermal paste
Swiftech MCP650 pump
10 ft. of Tygon tubing
½” OD T-fitting
Black Ice Xtreme II rad
Delta fans ... haven't decided on the exact specs - where do I buy these, anyways?
Hose clamps

I already bought the rad .. featured in another thread in this forum. Don't have a link at the moment.

How're we looking? Thanks.

Go with a 77 Bonneville with AC heatercore (Fedco 2-302).
Much better radiator
I just picked mine up. Gonna chop it up and put it in this weekend.
Hoping to get 5 C cooler temps than my current single 120mm rad. :D

other than that, it looks good. i love my swiftech CPU block and pump.
i can't comment on the GPU block, though. never heard of/used it.

Yeaha....

Looks good.

yeah, re: I already bought the rad. I think it will do the trick. With this rad, I can mount it in the drive bays in the front of my case standing vertically. It will be nice.

please do not take this post meanly, but:

Here we go, another person asking about watercooling...sorry, i was there too, probly still am, but there is a PLETHORA of stuff on this forum and other places...google is ur friend.

Now: because i'm a nice person (who uses big words :p) i will answer ur questions and "critique" ur system...though i am not the master/smartest/all-knowing, i can help you to the best of my abilities...

a lot of people like the swiftech, but you could also look into the DangerDen TDX (www.dangerden.com)

never heard of that GPU block, if you could "enlighten" me with some benches/temps, i would be grateful

good job on the artic silver...i'm getting temps of like 43*C with my Volcano 11+ and AS5...and this is for a 2500+ (stock 1.8GHz) at >3200+ (2.4GHz)!!!

for the pump, i heard its good, but if u want true high performance, then u can't go wrong with the DangerDen 12v pump, but its $75, so if ur on a budget, what you have should be okay

ya don't really need tygon, but if you feel safer, be my guest...my clearflex flexes really well, but i haven't used tygon, so i couldn't say if one was better or not

i AM NOT dissing you, but you know how to use a t-line right? if you don't, get a res...even if you do, get a res...its easier and you get more water (better cooling...not by much though)

since you already have the rad, no comments

no clue, but aren't they loud? people like the Sunons, they are on newegg (www.newegg.com) just search for "Sunon" (w/o quotes) and find the 120mm ones...i have an evercool aluminum, and its pretty loud...nothing like my 45db volcano 11, though :p

what kind of hose clamps? plastic? metal? doesn't really matter, i have the plastic ones, and they seem to be strong enough

NOW, you are missing a few things, and i'm sure you know this: some kind of anti-corrosive/anti-bacterial (anti-freezish)...you could get "Zerex Racing Coolant" at DangerDen, and its supposed to work really well......you also need distilled water (given)...

If i think of anything else, i'll let ya know, otherwise, good luck!! don't think twice about watercooling...its practical, and sexy :p

I have looked into this hardware quite extensively so you know. I've read and read and this is what I decided.

I picked the Swiftech CPU water block because it apparently outperforms the DD TDX SLIGHTLY (not a big difference, only like 1C).

The pump is basically the same thing as the Danger Den 12V pump - they're both different versions of the Laing D4.

Yes, I know how to use a T-line. How could I not after all the reading I've done? It seems simple enough.

I'm not on too tight of a budget and haven't ordered anything except the rad yet (and I got a wicked price on it, like $70)

I'm just trying to go for the best parts here ... so Tygon, here I come.

Haven't really decided on the clamps ... probably will just pick something up at Home Hardware.

I don't know what I'm going to do about my fans yet. When I get my rad (it's coming with 2 x 120 mm Delta fans rated at 72 cfm/34 dBA) I'm going to run those fans for a few days in my case before deciding if they're too loud for me, etc. I doubt it after having my Volcano 9+ running at full blast for the past year and a half.
I don't have a link to the Silverprop Fusion HL right on me but you can find stuff real easy if you Google it. It was also recommended to me by nihksub1 ... maybe you don't know who he is .. at any rate ...

Oh yeah, and I know I needed water and antifreeze. ;)

And for the case, I have the CoolerMaster Stacker: It's VERY nice.

sorry for all the "unnecessary" stuff that you already knew...:p my bad

but the evercool at 34db is about as loud as some of my 80mm case fans, but it moves like 3 times the amount of air...its pretty nice

I know the feeling of those Volcanos...i was doing some aquamark benching...=O!!! i had it on high cuz i was ocing it to 2.4, and wow...just...wow

i could hear it upstairs, a couple rooms away...that's one reason i want watercooling...i'll look up that GPU block...seems interesting

again, sorry for "wasting ur time" on the post...:p

actually, I got the "WhiteWater" from d-tek, and its almost the same as the RBX...not sure how they compare to the 6002, but look into that, they are practically the same price

No, no. It's definitely not a waste of time. It's good to get other people's opinions so you can research more and be able to make a more educated decision.

With my fan, running at 78 cfm and roughly 45 dBA (I think), I can walk downstairs and stand in the front entrance to my house and hear it. It's absolutely insane. Although, since I'm so used to it, I don't really notice it anymore ... Anything lower than this will be a whisper.

I'm just thinking about the direction of fans for my case ... it would make most sense to have the fans pulling air through the rad from the outside of the case, would it not?

Like this: FAN |RAD|Drive Bay Covers
Air goes this way: <------------------ into the case

well, see, i would put the fan behind the drive covers so u get less restriction from the fins of the heatercore...

otherwise, you seem to know what you are doing and you seem to know what parts are good...

trust me, i asked the same question about 10 times in the same thread, and i also kept asking "is this better?" until somebody finally said "dude, u sound like you're not too old" lol :p

so yeah, if you like that swifty block, by all means go for it...it matters what you like, and a little performance...

I'll try out a couple different ways of having the fans on the rad and see what works best.

But speaking of fans, anyone know where I can buy Delta fans in North America? I can't seem to find then ANYWHERE.

Why do you think people said that to you? Just because you were unsure and sounded a bit inexperienced?

haha, no, its because i kept saying "this is a little more expensive...is it better?" and "well, i have more money, could i add this...?"

so yes, i can see now how annoying i was...sorry to all that affected (grizzy :p)

but yeah, try everything for urself, see what works best for ur rig...

Yeah, more expensive doesn't always mean better. I'm happy with what I have and have yet to order it..but this is going to be VERY fun when I get it all worked out.

I'm also going to get a chipset cooler ... not a water block, mind you. And I still have to decide on that but I'm probably going to go for the Swiftech MCX-159.

yeah, i know what you mean...fedex has another hour before I call and get pissy...

"Estimated Delivery - October 8, 2004 4:30PM" wow, 3:37 and no package...lol

well, see, depends how much the chipset cooler is...if its like <$20, then go for it...but it doesn't usually get that hot...now, my video card ram...that's another story

DO NOT TOUCH IT WHEN OVERCLOCKING :p...wow, it actually HURT my finger...

Yeah right! I was SUPPOSED to get a 12" white CCFL today but the guy I ordered it through - his supplier didn't send it for SOME REASON! Erg. I'm not in a huge rush but it's still annoying.

I also have to start ordering these water cooling parts - better get on that.

The chipset cooler is $45 Canadian + tax and shipping .. I just don't know about the fan on it .. only 6 cfm? I want a chipset cooler because I will be overclocking. With this I hope to be able to overclock more.

well, if u can, get ur stuff from d-tek...their standard shipping was absolutely amazing...i commend them for that...and if you spend over $100, you get a 10% discount (i think 10, maybe 15) so do that if you can!

18 minutes fedex....wow, i'm getting angry...

D-tek doesn't exactly carry the stuff I'm looking for ...

What are you getting so ancy about? What's coming?

lol, sorry for being annoying :p

i'm waiting for my "Zerex" from dangerden that they didn't ship before...
