Water cooling - No flow through system?

How do I attempt to get rid of all the air without burning up the pump in the process? I've tried moving it around and shaking it. I did see a pretty big air bubble in the tube leading into the pump from the reservoir. It was at the beginning of the pumps barb (so it was farthest away from the reservoir) and it wasn't moving.

Here's your problem. Don't be too gentle and use some good smacking on the pump, tube and other blocks till air get out. When you are sure most is already gone, start the pump and it should work.

When we fill the loops, we never run the pump during the filling part, only after so you are sure there is enough water and almost no big air bubbles hanging.
