i wanna make the jump to water cooling for just my video card gtx 295 what would i all need to get this all setup?200 is my budget the case i have if it makes a differnt is a cooler master haf 932
 
You'll need a dual radiator.
A pump (I suggest the MCP655)
Some tubing and fans (Masterkleer tubing and Yate Loon fans)
And the GTX295 waterblock.

Might cost a bit more than 200$ since the GTX waterblocks are so frigging expensive...
 
It will definitely cost more than 200 because of the fact you are cooling a gtx 295. The waterblock alone will get you close to your budget limit. That doesn't include the radiator, pump, barbs, fan, and tubing.

My suggestion would be to save up as opposed to buying cheap parts to make your budget.

Since you do have a coolermaster HAF, it would be good to go with the MCR320 by Swiftech. If you mount the fans before the radiator on the top fan slots, you won't need any case modding to fit the radiator inside the case.
 
the block for my 295 from DD alone costs 200.
although i dont quite agree that you'll need a 120.2 rad and a MCP655 for a single 295. a 120.1 would do just fine.

comes with everything you would need for 140 + shipping.

if you were planning on cooling your CPU,NB,GPU,Mosfets, Etc i would recommend building your own set up piece by piece.

Ignore the previous poster. A single radiator will NOT cool the 295, not to mention the suggested kit won't cool anything you've asked about :rolleyes:
As everyone else has said, the block alone for the GTX295 will run around $170 alone, so it'll take $50 for a radiator, $75 for a pump and ~$20 for tubes/fittings/clamps to get set up with a basic t-line loop for the 295.

and do you own a 295 nova? because i do. and my loop is huge, mosfets,CPU,GPU,NB,SB. and my proc is @ 5 ghz and pushing 1.5v to my NB and my 295 still stays @ 36c? please dont mislead people into buying more stuff than they have to. thanks
 
actually, if anyone's advice should be ignored, it is the guy telling you he can watercool his motherboard, CPU, and GPU with a single radiator.

Go call swiftech or that company Petra's Tech Shop, and they will tell you themselves that what you claim is simply ludicrous under normal circumstances.

Unless you live in an igloo your temps will he horrible for watercooling.

My point to this is that outside of the waterblock, the difference between a 120.1 and a 120.3 is quite small that it is a better investment to just come up with a little bit more money to cool your items properly.

Why invest 200 dollars on something that will perform horribly, when you could've spent 300 and cooled correctly. The pump, radiator, and fans are just as important (if not more) in watercooling than the block itself.

You will rarely get bad advice from the people in that forum regarding cooling.

Anyways, ryu4000: Long story short, the block for your card sells for $170 most places so your total cost of doing this will be around $300.

One of the cheapest 295 blocks avail is proboly Koolance's offering for $160

Some people still knock Koolance, but I'd say this is a pretty nice product, especialy for the price.

For the rest Newegg has the Swiftech MCP350 for $54

and a MCR-220 for $35, the 320 is just 15 more, so it may be worth the upgrade.

Other than that you would need some tube and fittings which all in all should only be 20 more. Thats as cheap as I would personaly go, anything less and you are asking for reliability issues or performance issues, ether of which will make you wish you had left the stock cooler on the card.

A 1x20 rad can easily dissipate .5KW = 500watts of heat but needs more fan cfm than most of us would like to listen too. Everything is a tradeoff. Not every one needs or wants loop temps near ambient and some do. Not everyone OCs the bezeezus our of there equipment and many do.

Providing balanced rational advice is helpful, other kinds not so much.

I think the issue was saying that a 120.1 can cool CPU/mosfets/chipset/GPU efficiently. AKA not using 500CFM sanyo denki fans that would turn your finger or stray cat into itty bitty pieces of flesh if it were to accidentally stray into the blades ;)

On topic though, I think a 120.2 would be sufficient if you had the right fans.

And like many said. Don't go cheap on water cooling. Do it right with the right budget or go home.
