I've been on Firefox since about the time it came out. I've a marginal system - dual CPU p933, with 512Mb of ECC RAM (bought system in mid 2001 for about $400
) .
They will each crunch an 1141 for about 90 points per day each, IF they can get the memory. Up to 120MB of RAM each.
However I've noticed (via task manager) that Firefox, with a bunch of tabs open, may suck up 130mb of RAM and the same of VM, which puts me into paging. Which slows the sytem down.
Since this is my main machine my solution is to shut firefox down occasionally, which seems to keep it under control.
Beat the AUSSIES!!
