Watch your Ceton through XBMC

This looks very interesting. Does it let you stream copy once flagged shows?
 
Looks like progress. With the clear direction that Microsoft is not interested in development and advancement of media center this is good.

I like XBMC but feel no live TV was an issue. This seems to make great steps.
 
XBMC looks cool, they always come out with cool stuff and its always getting updated unlike media center and it works on apple TV also...

I know this is a moldy thread but the answer to this is : no.

For any PVR stack to handle encrypted content it needs to support encryption through the entire pipeline. This is a CableLabs requirement.

SiliconDust or Ceton could conceivably take their PlayReady license and use it to implement a closed source plugin for XBMC to enable the full CableCard scenario.
