I hope this is in the appropriate category.

If I want to watch cable on my computer screen, what's the correct piece of hardware to purchase? I know there's TV tuner cards and what not but I don't know what to look for in a card like that. If anyone has suggestions I would appreciate it if you could point me in the right direction. I'm just looking for something that will work well and has a low cost. Does not need to be top of the line. I've got just a standard coax coming from the wall.

An early thank-you for anyone who responds

I'm pretty sure that's the one I have...got it 3 yrs ago, worked pretty well...but I didn't use it too much. I believe my remote stopped working correctly. But for the price definitely worth it.

I'm currently using a SVHS feed from my video recorder to my PC (selects TV channels and connects to my satellite receiver), this may be an option for you if your cable box has SVHS out.
My X1800 cards SVHS / TV in is wonderful, maybe you have a similar capability?

If so, this is an almost free way to get the job done.
(you may need to buy an SVHS lead :))
