Hi, my lcd is full of fingerprints ans marks, i though first at washing it with rubbing alcohol, but my dad said its not good for plastic. Hum, what should i use then?

thanks

Yes your dad is right. Don't use alchohol or window cleaner. What I've done is used a dry micro fiber cloth or have it slightly wet.

mm ok, the problem is i actually did it once... what could happen?
You can ruin the screen coating by using alchohol which means permanent streaking. If you don't notice any damage then just count yourself lucky and DON'T do it again.

edit- number 1. on the list of reasons why I will never buy a used lcd.;)

You should be fine if you've only done it once. Repeatedly using isopropanol and/or ethanol will deteriorate the plastic and make it turn yellow and brittle. Don't even think about using Windex.

If you have some really bad build up I would recommend klearscreen http://www.klearscreen.com/ . It's a polymer-based formula that'll dissolve away fingerprints and leave a coating to make it less fingerprint prone.
