My last 2 cards have been Nvidia, and I'm mostly pleased with them. My only gripe is how the color has always looked compared to my brother's or friends' comps that use ATi cards. Whenever we all get into a game, their colors just seem more vibrant. The best way to describe it is that on my screen it the colors look like they all have a little too much white. Sort of like a haze. Black never looks truly black. I've used 3 different monitors over the years, 2 identical to my brother's, and I've even hooked my comp up to my brother's just to make sure it isn't my monitor. I brought this up at a LAN and others have seen the same thing. Screenshots in video card reviews never really seem to show it, so it leads me to believe I'm doing something wrong. Right now it's bothering me so much, I don't even like playing games on my own computer. My mother, who knows nothing about computers, has said "why is his computer so much sharper than the other 2 (mine and my dad's, he also has an nvidia card.)? Has anyone else noticed this, and is there anything I can do to correct it?
edit - It's not just in games. It's all the time. Wallpapers, this site, everything. I want to get a new card, I was leaning toward a 9800pro but I saw how it is having issues with City of Heroes and now I'm thinking nvidia again. Unless I can fix this there is no way I can tolerate another one though.
