Warning - Viewsonic/Optiquest monitors

This Viewsonic/Optiquest monitor has, somehow, received very high customer ratings. I bought two of these for our office computers. According to my experience, this is one of the worst monitors I have ever used. Default settings of this one do not work. It is extremely difficult to get the correct color/contrast settings even after hours of trying.

Moreover, this thing comes with a manufacturer's warranty. Contacted Viewsonic by phone to get a replacement, only reply I received was an automated e-mail. They don't care about customers.

I am amazed to see all the positive customer comments this monitor has received. I am done with Viewsonic.

Hate to say it, but you get what you pay for. That's VERY cheap for a Viewsonic, but it's also VERY low-end. If you pick up one of their Pro series ("VP") models they come with 3-year 48-hour on-site replacement service.

Yes, I learned my lesson. But we have cheap (means this monitor's price range) monitors from other brands which are not that bad.
