According to Reuters, the latest twist in an ongoing take over saga, Warner Music Group has made a bid for EMI. The bigger question is whether any takeover would win approval.

Warner said it had the support of the trade group for independent music labels which brought previous legal challenges to consolidation in the industry and said it saw a compelling, strategic, commercial and financial logic to a deal.
