Costco's B&M (in NW at least) have the Spherex 5.1 XBOX Surround Sound System for $99.99. Lowest price on Amazon is $180.00. Rated pretty highly for a HTIB by AVS forum, esp the speakers. Stores tend to have between 8-20 a couple with 70+.

Note Warranty is crap and seems to be not supported, however you are buying from Costco which has an outstanding return policy.

as noted in reviews:
  • 3 digital inputs(2 optical,1 coaxial),1 analog input
  • satellite speakers are based on the highly-regarded Omnipolar technology developed by Mirage system. :rolleyes:
  • I can hardly wait for my 10 year old Bose system in the TV room to die so I can replace it with a Spherex too.

So they're decent :shrug:

Costco online doesn't have it. I called local Costco, and they don't have it.

Are you sure it's 176470? What's your zip code?


edit:
their item database system is deeply falwed because my local costco could not help me find the product because they never had it in supply, forcing me to call Oregon to see which costcos close to me have it available. :rolleyes:
 
I just picked up a set at the local costco in Bellingham washington for 99.99. interstingly enough, the box looks to be resealed, but contents all look new, however, the warranty has been marked out with permanent marker from the boxs, some sort of refurb closeout maybe? speakers sound great, however i do notice some white noise even when running digitally, but i can't be certain it's not caused by interference and poor shielding or defective product.
