Price has been hovering around $195. Finally dropped. Lowest ever according to CCC. Not sure if price drop is permanent.

Very good condition also available from $157.

Very tempting. I have 2 M.2 slots on my laptop, but I also already have an 840 pro ssd in it as well.

not a warm deal, if you buy the 1TB version which is just a few threads down you'll save $40 over buying two 500GB drives.

This isn't news to me. I bought this a couple of weeks ago from Amazon for the exact same price. Sort of warm I guess.

M.2 is confusing to most people, because it can come in many forms. M.2 can be keyed for PCIe, SATA3 and/or USB3 (not exclusive to just one either). This particular model is keyed only for SATA3, so it will be using your motherboard's SATA3 interface with all its pros and cons. It is not PCIe, despite what any retailer advertises.

Also, make sure your motherboard can accept a SATA3 keyed M.2 device, otherwise this won't work.

I own a Razer Blade 2015 (128GB), and it only accepts SATA3 M.2, so this was a perfect upgrade.

Why was this not posted in the Samsung 1TB EVO $329 @ Fry's thread? :p

Not a bad price for a decent performing SSD.

this hdd is now $149.99 on eBay, so two of these would actually be cheaper than the 1tb deal.

Probably because this is the 850 EVO designed for an M.2 slot. Afaik, the 1TB EVOs are not M.2. I don't think Samsung has launched any M.2 SSDs that large (yet).
