Warhead Sweeps

Thanks Kyle!! I don't care what the system has in it... I can cannibalize stuff for my secondary system, it has old AMD/ATI parts atm. So I would expect at least "new AMD" parts. ;) :p

I filled out all the info and got to the bottom that reads:

"Click the Submit button below to enter our sweepstakes and receive news and exclusive offers from GameStop."

errr no thanks, I would rather enjoy playing without any interruption by telemarketing people.

Don't forget: rate my build

At least its better than the words about PC games I generally see posted at the other forum I frequent (Gametrailers). In an average month there are between 7 and 10 "PC Gaming Is Dying" threads. Most of them come with the NPD releases their numbers.

Their newsletter isn't that bad. It comes like once a week and just talks about weekly deals and crap. Sometimes you'll get two of them a week if they're having some kind of middle of the week or weekend deal. Not as bad as some newsletters.

Icould do with a new system so I have entered, and the game is a bonus as well.

QFT. You wanna know something pretty hilarious? I watched a video showcasing Crysis a couple months before the 8800Ultra's came out that makes me kinda think there may be some kind of conspiracy going on with Crysis. In the video Cevat Yerli is playing Crysis on a big screen HDTV (not sure which brand). He is being interviewed and he is answering questions about Crysis. He says the HDTV is running at 1080p and that he is running on an unreleased nVidia video card that should be available at the time Crysis is released. I am assuming he meant the 8800Ultra. He is asked what settings he is running on and he says that he is running Very High settings in DX10. Of course the interviewer says omg that looks beautiful blah blah blah...the funny thing is that the game was just flying. The framerate had to have been well over 60fps average. In that very same video Cevat Yerli says that gamers can expect to run the game @ 1600x1200 everything set Very High in DX10 mode and get an average of 60fps on a 8800GTS 640MB. Funny how things have changed since then. I have been unable to locate this video anywhere. It is almost as if it vanished. The video did exist and I remember showing it to buddies of mine when I was doing alot of Crysis hype.

You mean this video : http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=-CD-mJMB7Lw

Pretty sure thats the one your talkin about.

Unfortunately that is not the video. BUT that is the same room and TV from the the video I am speaking of. In the video I saw they would not show or talk about the stuff they were running the game on except for the fact that it was an unreleased video card. At the end of the video I am speaking of is when the performance of the 8800 GTS 640MB was mentioned. That is interesting though that they were running a Penryn in that video.

Hmm, $800 suggested value?

If CoolerMaster custom painted cases are of any indication, then $800 is just the price of the case with that fancy Crysis paintjob on it.

And yah, original Crysis was a completely run-of-the-mill FPS.

My jaw hit the floor when I saw the prices of those CM cases. What kind of paint do they use on those things?

Ok, so assuming that they got the custom painted case for free, $800 for parts is not that much still. It's certainly not packing a Skulltrail nor Core 2 Xtreme. Maximum like Q6660, some basic 4 gig ram, a single 500 gig HDD, mid-range mobo and a mid-range card.

That certainly won't run original Crysis on all high. They better optimise this new to hell.

Ya. You can ALWAYS "opt out" when you get the 1st spam from them. They are required to have an opt out link in the E-mail that removes your mail addy from the database.

Ah, yes, thank you. That means he thinks 60 million people pirated the game (over 3 million copies sold). Wouldn't that make it like the most popular game ever? Can 60 million people in world even play Crysis?

Lol, that's about 6 times the active subscribers in WoW . It must have been the most super incredibly popular PC game.

They want to finish their new game before they patch their existing one becuase we all stole copies of Crysis and they don't owe us anything. So we have to buy another game, I mean steal, in order to get support for the last thing we boug... I mean stole.

If I can't play it on my Nvidia TNT2 than forget it!!!

HL Counterstrike rulez!!

Clearly from my extensive reading, I give all current and future Crysis titles a thumbs down. Next up another review of a game I probably will never play, Age of Conan. Where will the thumb point!

Oooo entered my cousin in NYC!!!

Someone should mod the first Crysis into "Hello Kitty Island Adventure: EXTREME".
