I can completely understand the complaints about the 1.29 p2w-changes, but am I seeing complaints about increased-realism/difficulty on [H]ardForum...?

The point is that the planes became harder to fly in the "Arcade" mode, whose main selling point was the easy and responsive control that attracts the non-flight-simulator nuts among the gaming community. It seems they're moving away from that, which is awful because the game was amazing.
Although I understand your concerns, they're DOZENS of "arcade" WWII flight games that have released in the last 10 years ESPECIALLY on console systems for players to chose from. The PC community has what to chose from? IL-2 Sturmovik from 2001 and Microsoft Combat Simulator from 2002? The only simulator game that came out recently was another IL-2 one that completely bombed. I fear that this game that which originally had a simulator focus will sell itself out to the arcade console newbs before the official release. People who want pure arcade online fun should look at World of Warplanes instead. Unless they make a 4th gaming mode like "arcade - realistic," good on them for making the normal arcade mode more realistic.

In my opinion as far as World of Tanks vs War Thunder, War Thunder wins hands down. Very entertaining and War Thunder is not pay to win. If your plane still has bullets, you can take anybody down.
I also enjoy you can play in different modes, arcade, historical, simulation, very simple to very complex.

Not trying to hate or sound mean or anything but how can you compare a tank game to a plane game? They are entirely two different types of games..
My japanese fighters feel a lot less agile and their guns still seem weak compared to the other nations...yuck yuck
That's how it was for me in WoT, spending money I didn't have, to repair a leet tank that I couldn't afford to shoot another tank, because I wouldn't be able to afford to reload it, let alone the other 2 that I had that were always in need of repair and reloading.I played every day for the better part of a decade. Upper tiers got so grindy; roll out a vehicle, get one shot...week repair. Eventually I was just like, fuck it.
